Vacation Activities Bracket: Round 3

Our Vacation Activities Bracket is down to the final four! Is this what you expected from fellow Global Discovery Vacations members? We’d say so.

This is the last round before the championship, so vote for your favorites below!

Nature Hikes vs. Beaches

Well, well, well, the debate rages on. There are two schools of thought on how to find fulfillment through the spectacles of nature:

  1. Sights are better when you earn them, so the sweat and strain of trekking through trails and up mountains is well worth the investment.
  2. You’re on vacation, so idle time is your priority and movement should come secondary. Plop down on the beach and enjoy the sunset.

Both are valid reasons for hooking travelers. But if you had to pick…

Cruising vs. National Parks

Cruise ships conveniently take you to many sights you can’t access on your own, but National Parks give you sights you can’t see anywhere else. The conundrum is a doozy, seeing as cruise ships are near limitless in their exploration potential, whereas the United States alone has 59 national parks for natural discovery.

Are you hopping aboard a ship or will you sightsee by land on your next vacation?

It’s a quick turnaround on this round! Voting closes Wednesday, March 29, at midnight CST. On Thursday, we’ll have the final matchup and voting open throughout the weekend to see which activity is crowned champ!

  1. We have, been Global Travel Members for over 10 years now, and couldn’t be happier with the service we’ve received. We have been to Carlsbad Calif, San Diego (several times),, Puerto Vallarta, Nuevo Vallarta, Cancun, Cabo San Lucas, Hawaii, Sun Valley, and Yellowstone…just to mention a few. In every case we’ve found the properties in pristine condition, the staff warm & friendly, and overall,…about the nicest resorts/properties that we could have ever asked for. The decision to become members has enhanced both our personal, and family lives, as our children continue to reminisce time, and time again about the wonderful experiences they have shared on each of our family excursions. I can honestly say that the decision to become Global Travel Members has been one of, if not the very best, decision we ever made! Talks around the table at family gatherings almost always resort to experiences and incidents involving one, or more, of our family trips, and the joy, laughter, and emotion shed over those experiences have been the “Highlight” of our lives. My only regret is taking so long to have this Membership in our lives. When “Robert Shaw” stated that the “Joy is in the journey,…not in the destination”, he was surely referencing this. Thank You Global Travel, for truly making our lives a journey we will cherish forever….and will look forward to many more as the years progress.

    • That is so kind of you, Richard! It sounds like you’re getting the most of your membership and we wish you many more travels in your future.

  2. PS. We just booked this years Christmas/New Years adventure to Montego Bay, Jamaica…and can hardly wait! Now, instead on of kids driving us crazy for the next 9 months, it’s the grandkids driving their parents nuts with questions like, “Is it almost here?” “Can we go now?” and my favorite,…I promise I’ll be good,..just .please take me to Jamaka) (sp) with you”!!!

  3. Sounds like a WONDERFUL Family Tradition! Wish we would have done something similar, but never too late to start. You guys thinking of adopting anyone soon? Those memories are what it’s all about! What a great legacy to leave…
