Member Jacqueline N. had to get away to somewhere warm, so visiting the Sedona Summit in Arizona made sense. As an artist, Jacqueline felt at home with the Southwest artisans showing off their unique work. She tells us about her travels in this week’s Global Discovery Vacations Member Monday.
Where would you recommend a fellow member go…
Dahl & DiLuca Ristorante and Coffee Pot Restaurant.
Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village. You could literally spend the whole day there since there is so much to see. The endless shops, artwork and crafts were so amazing. The talent is unbelievable.
Also, there were shops all along the strip in Sedona. The Coffee Pot Restaurant had the best souvenirs and gifts.
Verde Canyon Railroad and the Grand Canyon.
What was your favorite:
We stayed at Sedona Summit. This may not be an amenity, but they had a Native American jewelry sale in the lobby with the most beautiful jewelry.
Why did you choose this destination?
We went to Sedona, Arizona, because we wanted to go to a warm state where we had never been and we wanted to see the Grand Canyon. However, we went in April so it was hot in Phoenix but really cold in Sedona the whole time.
Who did you travel with?
My husband, Oscar.
Were you traveling for a special occasion? If yes, what?
We were celebrating our 12th wedding anniversary.
What was your favorite memory of your vacation?
Driving through the hills from Sedona to the Grand Canyon. The views were spectacular.
Any tips for a traveler to this resort or destination? Anything you think they should bring?
A camera for sure, and lots of money for gifts!
How long have you been a Global Discovery Vacations member?
Became a member in 2013.
Why did you join the club?
To encourage us to travel more.
What is your profession?
I’m an artist and my husband is a retired school teacher.
