Member Monday: Sue’s First Trip To Hawaii Might Not Be Her Last!

Pictured above: Haleakala National Park Waterfall.

When the entire continental United States is enduring a cold spell, the popular thought would be to leave it all behind and relax in the warmth of Hawaii. Member Sue T. spent time at the Ka’anapali Beach Club in Maui a few weeks ago and it was as you’d imagine: perfection. She shares with us her first Hawaiian and Global Discovery Vacations experience in this week’s Member Monday.

Where would you recommend a fellow member to go for:

Breakfast:
The lanai outside of your condo is perfect. Ours had a view of the pool area which was beautiful and the ocean behind that. Enjoyed the mimosas!

Lunch:
Take a picnic or cooler to the beach – tons of lovely spots just outside of the resort.

Dinner:
LaHaina Grill – great wine list and bar tenders were wonderful. Roy’s at the Whaler’s Village also.

To Shop:
Old Lahaina, really enjoyed the art galleries.

To have fun/attractions:
Rent a car and drive the road to Hana. Beautiful drive and tons of great places to stop along the way.

What was your favorite:
Resort Amenity:
The beach, great white sand, beautiful views and comfortable lounge chairs.

Condominium Amenity or Room:
Six brand new gas grills and picnic tables. Perfect for a sunset BBQ.

Place to go in the destination:
Haleakala National Park – the peak for the sunrise was awe inspiring.

Why did you choose this destination?
Our first but not last trip to Hawaii.

Who did you travel with, family or friends?
Husband and I.

What was your favorite memory of your vacation?
Days we spent just driving the coast line. Snorkeling off the beach of the resort. Beautiful fish and giant sea turtles were plentiful.

Any tips for a traveler to this resort destination?
Rent a car – people we met mentioned the bus system, but is was not always on time.

Any tips for a traveler staying in this condominium?
It was perfect!

Anything you think they should bring?
Small cooler and their own snorkel equipment. You can snorkel off of almost every inch of shoreline.

  1. Thanx for sharing!! Looks Fabulous, Ka’anapali Beach Club, Maui is exactly where we want to go next year for our 25th anniversary!! We need assistance as we have been searching the Global Vacations Hawaii sites and cannot find it. Please advise!!

    • Hi Brenda,

We do not generally have Peak Season locations listed on our website and since Hawaii is nearly always considered Peak Season, you’ll have to call a Condominium Consultant at 866-879-7779 to see what’s available. We hope it’s a great anniversary!

  2. We also have stayed at the Ka’anapali Beach Club (2013). It was so nice, we have reservations again in Aug. 2015. Right now checking on the best air fare from California. Lots of activities to do or just relax at the pool or beach. Don’t recommend the submarine tour. Maui is the best!

    • Thanks for the feedback, Roger.

We hear nothing but good things from that area, so we’re glad that you’ve been able to enjoy the accommodations there. We wish you well on your next trip there!

  3. My dream vacation, but I hate flying, but I HAVE to see that waterfall, absolutely stunningly breathtaking!
