Member Monday: Pedaling the Parks of Hilton Head, South Carolina

Hilton Head, South Carolina, is famous for its beaches and golf courses, but don’t overlook the other entertaining features of this island. This community is a haven for wildlife and hosts multiple sporting events throughout the year. Given the mild climate that Hilton Head enjoys (yearly average of 76 degrees Fahrenheit), there is no reason not to take advantage of the selection of water sports and other outdoor activities on the island. Wind down or get active, the choice is yours.

Recently, Global Discovery Vacations members Judith G. and Ann T. stayed at the Island Links by Coral Resorts. Find out how they spent their Thanksgiving holiday in this week’s Member Monday!

Where would you recommend a fellow member to go to…
Plantation Cafe (breakfast) and Giuseppi’s.

Have fun/attractions
We enjoyed biking Sea Pines Preserve and Mitchelville Park. We also enjoyed climbing the lighthouse at Harbour Island. The movie theater at Northridge Cinema has great seats.

What was your favorite…
Place to go in the destination
Sea Pines Preserve.

Why did you choose this destination?
We picked Hilton Head because of the halfway location between Deltona, Florida and Charlotte, North Carolina. We wanted a place where we could do a lot of casual biking.

What was your favorite memory of your vacation?
I enjoyed biking Sea Pines Preserve. My mother enjoyed Mitchelville Park and the path down to the Land Between the Tides.
