Fall in Love With Italy

If you don’t believe in love at first sight, you haven’t been to Italy. The food, art, wine and history will have you head over heels when you visit with Global Discovery Vacations, and that’s just the beginning! Prepare for friendly locals, incredible scenery and tasteful architecture in this amazing land.

Learn more about our four Italian resorts that will have you saying, “That’s amore!”

Fattoria Guicciardini
(San Gimignano, Siena)
If you want history, the Fattoria Guicciardini has plenty of it. Your one-bedroom loft is part of a classic structure that was originally built in the 15th century! This rustic beauty has undergone many transformations to give you a modern look while keeping a classic style. You’ll be at the center of San Gimignano in Tuscany, right by landmarks such as Piazza Sant’Agostino and the medieval gate of San Matteo nearby. If you enjoy medieval architecture, this is the place for you.

Villa Il Poggiolo
(Costalpino, Siena)
Member Katie P. recently told us about her trip to the Villa Il Poggiolo and how much her family was able to explore while staying there. For the folks who enjoy the countryside, Villa Il Poggiolo is located in the small village of Costalpino, which is near Tuscany. You can easily take a day trip to some of the best attractions Italy has to offer, such as the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Siena Cathedral and the city of Florence.

Residence La Ferriera
Tuscany, Toscana
Take a quick stroll through the quaint village of Loro Ciuffenna near Arezzo or gaze at the stunning Ciuffenna River that cuts right through the area. Embrace the serene atmosphere and go sightseeing after spending a day in the busy crowds of Siena or Florence. La Ferriera itself has a fairy tale atmosphere, with magnificent waterfalls and elegant aromas from the historic property. You’ll have to pinch yourself to remember that it’s real!

Villa Giulia
Sorrento, Naples

You go to Italy for places like Villa Giulia. You won’t be able to take your eyes off the green hills, the immaculate on-site gardens and the stylish rooms that have an identity of their own. This bed and breakfast will give you all the hospitality and ambiance you’d want out of an Italian vacation. While you’re lounging at the pool, marvel at the unbelievable view overlooking the Gulf of Naples, which puts this resort over the top. You’re only five miles from Sorrento and one mile from Sant’Agata, where you’ll find enough entertainment to fill the rest of your trip.

When considering your next trip with Global Discovery Vacations, fall in love with one of our four Italian condos. We’ve got plenty of dates for these condos in 2014-15, so start planning your Italian vacation today!

  1. Where is the location of the picture? Would any of these listed be near that location? Thanks!

    • Hi Janell,

The photo shows right off the coast of Naples, which is the same city you’ll find the Villa Giulia. It sure looks lovely!

    • Hi Pat,

Feel free to look around on our Pinterest for photos of specific resorts. We have recently added some photos of our Italy properties, so we hope it gives you a feel of the surrounding area.

      Happy Travels!

      • Not sure what you mean when asking for website. Anyways, how do I go to pinterest to view specific resorts. We currently have a condo reserved for August 9th-16th in Sienna at the Fattoria and would like to tack on another week either before or after. Thanks. Lori

  2. Does Global have many places in Geneva Switzerland? Or near the border in France?
Can we get discounts on airfare as well if we go through Global?

    • Hi Kim,

We unfortunately don’t get any resorts in Switzerland at this time, but we do have a couple in France near the French Riviera and Paris. We hope this helps!

  3. You say you have plenty of dates, but I sure can’t find any to fit my need. My talented daughter is taking a culinary class in Ovieto, but she wants to explore Italy the week before (June 22-29) and the week after (July 6-13). She and her sister (their ages are 26 and 22) need lodging to serve as a home base. Is there anything available for those times? Please? This will be the trip of a lifetime for them.

    • Hi Robert,

We generally don’t put peak season weeks online, so we encourage you to call Condominium Reservations to see what we have available. You can also feel free to submit a request online if you’re not finding anything that fits your specifications, though there are no guarantees. We hope this helps!
